Curated secondhand, upcycled, and small-batch handmade furniture in McAllen, TX Workshop. Currently open by appointment only.

My take on a 1940s Brownsville porch meets French flea market — sun-washed, quiet, and collected over time.

The heart of it is the coffee table — it came from the home of poet Olga Valle-Herr in McAllen. Solid wood, low and lived-in, with years of books and coffee cups on it. I kept the patina, whitewashed it by hand, and highlighted the tiny hand-painted Provencal scroll on the apron. The original glass top is still with it with the antique lace and decoupage.

I paired her table with two solid pine spindle chairs with Fleur-de-Lys accent from a  Brownsville estate — stripped, sanded, and sealed— with decorative pillows in floral and vintage tapestry. Topped with a signed print French cottage art piece, a vintage vase with French Country inspired arrangement and lavender.

Every piece is carefully curated offered together in this vignette. When you buy the table, you get this table — Olga’s table — not a reproduction.

The Pieces:
